Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD)

Every year, all schools in Australia participate in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD). The NCCD process requires schools to identify information already available in the school about supports provided to students with disability. These relate to legislative requirements under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and the Disability Standards for Education 2005, in line with the NCCD guidelines (2019).

Information provided about students to the Australian Government for the NCCD includes:

  • Year of schooling.
  • Category of disability: physical, cognitive, sensory or social/emotional.
  • Level of adjustment provided: support provided within quality differentiated teaching practice, supplementary, substantial or extensive.

This information assists schools to:

  • Formally recognise the supports and adjustments provided to students with disability in schools.
  • Consider how they can strengthen the support of students with disability in schools.
  • Develop shared practices so that they can review their learning programs in order to improve educational outcomes for students with disability.

The NCCD provides state and federal governments with the information they need to plan more broadly for the support of students with disability.

The NCCD will have no direct impact on your child and your child will not be involved in any testing process. The school will provide data to the Australian Government in such a way that no individual student will be able to be identified – the privacy and confidentiality of all students is ensured. All information is protected by privacy laws that regulate the collection, storage and disclosure of personal information. To find out more about these matters, please refer to the Australian Government’s Privacy Policy.

Further information about the NCCD can be found on the NCCD Portal.

If you have any questions about the NCCD, please contact the school.

NAIDOC Week at LN

This week we celebrated NAIDOC Week to honour and celebrate the rich history, culture, and accomplishments of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We welcomed Sarah Scott (Class of 2020) to Assembly, a proud Kamilaroi woman who discussed how her Loreto education and her personal and professional journey has shaped her, our First Nations students shared the Songlines and FNQE polo shirts designs and their meanings and showcased their rich culture and talents by hosting weaving workshops and selling handmade jewellery throughout the week.

We continue to strengthen the vital connection between students and First Nations peoples through immersive learning experiences that bring First Nations culture and education to a new generation. Read more on how we do this here.

Seeking Truth Seminar Survey

Mr Jason Currao | Acting Director of Faith and Identity

Loreto Normanhurst Seeking Truth Seminar Feedback Survey.

The Loreto Normanhurst Seeking Truth Seminars have successfully completed three years of engaging and thought-provoking discussions.

Throughout this time, our primary goal has been to offer topics that hold relevance in today's society, exploring the ever-evolving landscape of theology and its profound connections to various aspects of our lives, including the role of women in the church.

To further enhance our seeking truth seminars in 2024 we are eager to collect your feedback. Your valuable insights will play a crucial role in shaping future seminars, ensuring that we cater to your specific needs and interests. We kindly request a few minutes of your time to complete the following Loreto Normanhurst Seeking Truth Seminar Feedback Survey. By sharing your thoughts and suggestions, you will be making a substantial contribution towards improving the quality and impact of our Seeking Truth Seminars in 2024.

Your feedback is instrumental to us, and we genuinely value your perspective. Together, we can create seminars that provide even greater value and resonate more deeply with our diverse audience.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to participate in this survey.

Year 10 Canberra Excursion

The Canberra Excursion is taking place in Week 3 from Wednesday 2 to Friday, 4 August.

Please see below important information:

Prior to departure, please review all the required information outlined in the EdSmart Permission Note. Click here to review.

If your daughter is required to take any medication during the excursion, it will need to be submitted on the day in a labelled zip-lock plastic bag with the completed Prescription and Non-Prescription Medication Form. Click here to complete if required.

It should be acknowledged that this tour is supported by the Australian government who recognise the importance of all young Australians to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion the Australian government funds $30 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program. This rebate is paid directly to the school at the completion of the excursion. This shows how aligned Loreto Normanhurst is to the values of the Australian government on this issue of Civics and Citizenship education.

Please do not hesitate to email the Learning Office with any queries.

Six students competed in snowboarding and skiing events across four divisions in Perisher during the middle week of the school holidays. The events include Alpine Giant Slalom, Ski Cross, Snowboard Giant Slalom and Snowboard Cross.
