Music Festival is a major event on the school’s calendar and features music and dance items followed by the much-anticipated, student-led House Choirs. Music Festival forms an important aspect of the school’s FACE Curriculum with the students engaging in regular choir rehearsals throughout Term 1 in House, Primary and Boarding groups.

This year, on Friday, 24 March we were delighted to return to the International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour to celebrate a night of music, felicity and house-spirit. This year’s theme of ‘Just Soul’ shone through in each song selection, and all performances demonstrated the talent and hard work of our girls.

In the first half of the evening, audiences were treated to a variety of outstanding performances, ranging from our orchestra to a contemporary dance performance to Sam Smith. Boarders, Ella and Hannah led the Boarder Choir in a beautiful rendition of 'Drops of Jupiter', by Train. The Primary School Choir also gave a stunning performance of Coldplay’s 'Sky Full of Stars', a lovely introduction to the choral festivities that were to follow in Act Two.

This year's House Choirs proved their grit by tackling favourites that paid homage to Tina Turner, Sia and beyond. A special congratulations to Maye House, named Best Choir for their performance of Que Sera, and for winning the Spirit Cup. We congratulate Georgia Taylor from Mornane who was named Best Conductor and Rhiannon Doyle from Mulhall, named Best Accompanist.

Thank you to all our families and community members who supported our students and staff by attending the event.

Please enjoy a highlights video and photos below.
